Assessing Your Organization
A key step on the road to value is an understanding of your organization's strengths and assets, and your organization's gaps and improvement opportunities. A helpful starting point is the Institute for Healthcare Improvement (IHI) Triple Aim© Self-Assessment.
The Triple Aim© requires simultaneous focus on improving the experience of care, improving the health of a population, and reducing per capita costs. The Triple Aim© defines what "value" means in health care today.
The IHI Triple Aim© Assessment is a brief 6-question self-assessment. Upon completion, your organization's readiness to pursue the Triple Aim© is presented on a scale of low to high, with guidance and next steps suggested. You can use your Triple Aim© assessment results to help prioritize your actions and maximize the RHSATA roadmap tools and resources.
