Xi Zhu Xi Zhu, Ph.D., is Assistant Professor in the Department of Health Management and Policy at the College of Public Health, University of Iowa. He received his Ph.D. in Sociology from the University of Minnesota. His research interests lie at the intersection of organizational behavior/organizational theory and health care management. His current research focuses on team behavior in health care delivery, examining how team design, interpersonal behaviors, and leadership contribute to the emergence of team properties (such as team climate, team cognition, decision-making patterns) and how these properties affect quality of care. He is also developing research projects examining innovations in rural health systems, care delivery models, quality improvement initiatives, and health information utilization.
